Why did this change take place?
  • This change comes as part of a renewed campuswide effort to help students become career ready individuals. In his October 20th, 2017 message, Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Enrique Lavernia wrote, "The new structure aligns with the vision recommended to me by a recent campus task force to create a career-community ecosystem encompassing UCI, our students and alumni, regional businesses, and organizations and other universities offering postgraduate opportunities."
