Honestly, I had never really considered my career before I went to the Career Center. "The Career Center staff have helped me by encouraging me to use the services such as the career library, and by taking self-assessment tests to better narrow down my interests and abilities. I've attended numerous workshops that are extremely helpful. Furthermore, I have met one-on-one with a counselor a few times and she provided invaluable websites for me to explore (such as VAULT).
I have used the resume critique service, and it has landed me a few part-time jobs as well as a handful of interviews. My advice to you is to go to the Career Center! Even if you do not have a current need to use it. Just go there, and see what they have to offer. Explore the place, and get comfy with it. I strongly suggest checking out the workshops, and going to the library. Take advantage because it will put you at an advantage. You're paying for these services anyway, so why not?"

"I learned all about the career center my junior year when I started applying for internship positions. I knew they offered some career advice and would serve as a great resource during my job hunting process. I am an open minded person and take criticism well and I knew the career center would serve as a valuable resource to me.

The career center helped me with numerous steps in my job search process. First and foremost, they helped me write a strong resume and cover letter. I must have completed at least 6 different drafts with them before my resume was perfected. The cover letter also took some time, but without these documents I would not have been able to get the interviews I wanted. The biggest help I got during the job process was the access to zotlink and on-campus interviews. Through that service, I was able to receive multiple first round interviews and apply to numerous job positions.

I was able to get interviews with some of the companies that I really liked. Than I even moved on to some second round interviews. And then, I was fortunate enough to get an offer from my top option for accounting firms. Overall, I was satisfied with the help and guidance that was provided to me by the career center. They even helped me make my final decision and choose the best work option for me out of college.

The career center is a great source for getting help with the job search process. Although it should not be your only source, is it a great place to start and reach out for help with resumes, cover letters, interviews, and much more."
