Career Center Events
The Career Center Staff is available to give tours to classes, clubs and other groups of students or staff. Please contact the front desk at (949) 824-6881 to schedule a tour.
(Tours are approximately 20 minutes)
The Career Center sponsors three career fairs per year. These are opportunities for students to talk to a variety of employers about job and internship opportunities.

Each Career Fair is preceded by a Career Week of special workshops presented by guest speakers. These workshops are designed to prepare students for the career fair and increase your knowledge on special topics of interest.
Career Weeks also include Resume Critiques outside on Ring Road to help students get their resumes ready for the Career Fair.

Career Fest is a month-long series of panels on various industries and careers. You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge about your particular career interests and network with professionals in various fields. Panels range from medicine to entertainment, law to finance, publishing to education, and more. Come by the Career Center to pick up a copy of the Career Fest book (available in January) to see all panelists and locations. All panels begin at 5pm, RSVP on ZotLink, get there from www.career.uci.edu.
Q: What’s the difference between Career Fest and the Career Fair?
A: The Career Fair is where employers go to recruit students for internships and jobs, while Career Fest is an opportunity to explore various careers and network with important people in the industry.
Q: What is the format for Career Fest?
A: You will have the opportunity to ask members of the panel questions and hear their answers to other student’s questions from 5-6pm. A breakout session will follow from 6-6:30, in which you will have the opportunity to speak individually with each panelist.
Q: How should I dress for Career Fest?
A: While the attire is not as formal as a Career Fair, business casual is suggested. Remember, you will be networking with people who may lead you to your future job or internship – dress to impress!
