Career Fest
Career Fest is a month-long series of panel presentations on various industries and careers by UCI alumni and community members. You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge about your particular career interests and network with professionals in various fields. Career Fest FAQ
What’s the difference between Career Fest and the Career Fair?
The Career Fair is a 1-day event where employers come to campus to recruit students for internships and jobs, while Career Fest is a month-long event that offers an opportunity to explore various careers and network with important people in the industry.
What's the format for Career Fest?
The event usually takes place from 5:00pm - 6:30pm M-Th every week during the month of February. From 5-6pm, panel presenters will speak about their career paths, truth about their jobs, suggestions on how to enter their fields, etc. Then it will be open to questions from the audience. A breakout session will follow from 6-6:30, in which you will have the opportunity to speak individually with each panelist.
How should I dress for Career Fest?
While the attire is not as formal as a Career Fair, business casual is suggested. Remember, you will be networking with people who may lead you to your future job or internship – dress to impress!
