Career Fairs

The Career Center sponsors several career fairs each year to provide students with the opportunity to meet employers looking to hire UCI students face-to-face. 

Why should I go?

• You can access companies that are specifically looking to hire UCI students for
  • Careers and full-time positions
  • Internships (both paid and for credit)
  • Part-time jobs
  • Seasonal jobs
• Great networking opportunity to meet with recruiters and professionals in various industries
• Find out what employers from various industries are looking for from applicants

How should I prepare?

• Attend Career Center workshops or view webshops online. Spring Career Week
• Bring a draft of your resume to a scheduled resume critique or stop by the Career Center   for drop-in appointments Monday-Friday 10am-4pm
• Research the companies beforehand
• Dress professionally (proper attire guidelines) and bring your Student ID card
• Bring lots of copies of your resume
• For last minute tips look for the Student Prep Lounge at the Career Fair

What can I expect ?

• Each company has a table with information about their opportunities
• Approach each company that you're interested in and offer them your resume
• Introduce yourself and ask them what types of candidates they're looking for
