Academic Career Path Workshops
Learn how to develop, nurture and cultivate your relationships with important people who can help you become an academic success.
In this workshop you’ll learn to research and understand the market, identify the types of jobs and institutions that match your needs and how to locate job announcements.
Workshop explains the purpose, format, and content of the Curriculum Vitae. Learn how to create and critique your academic CV. In addition, the purpose, format, and content of a good cover letter will be discussed.
Observe an interview process and learn what types of questions you might get asked. Take the opportunity to practice answering an interview question and get some feedback.
A panel presentation of recently hired faculty, faculty who have been on hiring committees and a Dean who has negotiated contracts with faculty. Learn from them how to successfully negotiate a job offer.
