Collaboration between faculty/staff and the UCI Career Center can combine our strengths and resources to the benefit of our students. If you are interested in helping your students with their career exploration and job search strategies, below are a few suggestions for possible assignments:
Informational Interviews: Have your students conduct informational interviews with professionals from the Career Connections directory. They can gather occupational and industrial information from successfully employed individuals, some of which are UCI alumni..
The Resume Writing Workshop: Require students to attend a The Resume Writing Workshop and draft a personal resume and cover letter. They can have it critiqued at Take 10.
Pick a career of interest and research your career using these online resources.
Have students find out how to create their best internship opportunity by attending the How to Get an Internship workshop at the UCI Career Center.
