Can I have my resume critiqued?
The Career Center has Take 10 drop-in hours (M-F 10am-4pm), where you can bring in a printed resume and have it critiqued by trained peer consultants or career counselors.
Where can I find jobs or internships?
ZotLink is the Career Center's official job and internship search website and consists of part-time, full-time, on-campus, work-study and internship opportunities.
What career paths are available with my major?
You can speak to a counselor or peer consultant during our Take 10 drop-in hours (M-F 10am-4pm) or schedule an appointment. You can schedule an appointment with a counselor by calling our Resource Desk at 949-824-6881. You can also check out "what can I do with a degree in...?".
I want to get an internship, can the Career Center help me?
The Career Center is Internship Central, we can provide information on how to get an internship, how to get credit for an internship, internship posting, and much more. Go to Internship Central for more information. You can also come in during Take 10 drop-in hours (M-F 10am-4pm) with your specific questions or check out our webshop on internships.
I have an internship and I want to get credit for it, who do I need to talk to?
To get credit for your internship, you have to make arrangements through your academic school. Go to Internship Central for more information.
When is the next career fair?
You can view dates for our career fair by going to our Career Fair page under Meet Employers, you can also view our events calendar.
Can I see the list of OCI (On-Campus Interview) employers?
To look at the list of OCI employers, just log into Zotlink and there should be a tab that says "On-Campus Interviews." (This is only available if you have attended the OCI Orientation).
ZotLink Questions/Problems
ZotLink is UCI's very own job & internship listing site. As a UCI student, you are already enrolled in ZotLink; however, you must upload your own documents and RSVP to attend workshops.
- It is my first time logging in
- Make sure you use your STUDENT ID number as your password if it is your first time signing in.
- I am a current student, but my login is not working
- This may be that you have not paid your quarterly fees yet (or you just paid). The registrar’s office provides us with this information on a daily basis. If, for some reason there has been a mistake, please provide us with a copy of your paid registration statement and we will be able to manually add you to our system. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our Resource Desk at (949) 824-6881.
- I am an alumni
- Once you graduate from UCI, you are no longer able to log into ZotLink. This is because our services are paid for by student fees, and as an Alumnus you are no longer paying these fees. For more information, check out our Alumni Services.
- I am an International and/or extension student and cannot log into ZotLink
- The Career Center's services are paid for by fees of students that are registered through the UCI Registrar. Our services are currently unavailable to extension students.
- I am a PhD student.
- Since the Career Center’s services are funded by student registration fees, only students who are enrolled and paying registration fees can access our services (including ZotLink) which is verified by a file we receive from the registrar each night. If you are a PhD student on filing fee and would like an exception to this policy, you will need to bring in proof of filing fee payment. Once approved, you will be granted access during one academic quarter. If you have any further questions contact our Resource Desk at (949) 824-6881.
