Internships

Many UCI students are looking to gain relevant work experience while they are completing their degree through internships and part-time jobs.  Each university sets criteria as to what is considered an internship.  At UCI, internships can be:

  • Part time during the academic year (usually 10-20 hours per week)
  • Full-time during the summer break (mid June to mid September)
  • Paid or for academic credit – but not both

Recruiting Interns - A list of recruiting options for employers seeking to hire interns

Internship Development Program- A program for employers seeking assistance with the development and launch of a new formal internship program.  It is tailored to meet the specific needs of the company and includes individual consultation, on-site seminars and recruiting options.

Internship Networking Roundtable  An annual seminar held in the spring at the Career Center that educates employers on how to develop high quality internship programs that will enhance their business operations while providing UC Irvine students with quality work experience. 

Internship Daze- An annual week-long event in January that is focused on educating and preparing students for their internships through workshops and specialized panels.  It offers opportunities for employers to get involved with students as guest speakers or panelists.

Internship Hub- A central reference point that will link employers to various internship and experiential learning programs on campus.
